The Axis of the Self

The Axis of the Self

A framework for understanding the deeper poles that shape behaviour, imbalance, and polarization.

Why do people, teams, and even whole cultures become so polarized? Why do some people lead more with instinct while others lean more toward intuition? Why do some move first through empathy, and others through assessment?

None of these tendencies are bad in themselves. The trouble begins when one side takes over and the others get shut out.

The Axis of the Self is a way of understanding the deeper poles that shape human behaviour: instinct and intuition, empathy and assessment. It helps explain why people are different, why distortion begins when one pole dominates the others, and why balance is not sameness, but right relationship.
